The Fishburne Military School Caissons’ Varsity Soccer team (1-1) won 11-0 against the Colonels of Massanutten Military Academy in Woodstock on the afternoon of Thursday, September 5th. The pitch was dry and the weather cloudy, breezy, and mild.
Midfielder Charles Wilson (Senior; Norfolk, VA) crossed a precision assist from the right side to Midfielder Kerry Cummings (Junior; Frederick, MD) in the center of the goal box in the 2nd minute.
Attackman Hamed Al Hinai (Senior; Vienna, VA) followed with a solo strike in the 6th. Al Hinai shortly followed with an assist from the top of the key to Midfielder Haoling Han (Junior; Beijing, China) on the left post of the goal in the 8th. Han returned the favor to Al Hinai by an assist from the left midfield to the left goal post in the 10th.
Midfielder Mateo Rios (Junior; Greenwich, CT) finished the first half’s streak with a solo strike from the center of the goal box in the 18th.
Keeper Colby Brown (Junior; Stuarts Draft, VA) swapped with Keeper Rahmes Hall (Junior; Lorton, VA) at halftime, having only three saves.
Midfielder Leone Johnson (Junior; Howell, NJ) opened the second half with an assist from the right sideline to Midfielder Charles Wilson in front of the goal box in the 40th. Wilson followed with a solo in the 41st from the left side of the goal box.
Defender Kevin Hunter (Senior; Berwick, PA) would solo from the top of the goal box in the 47th.
Attackman Oliver Clarys (Sophomore; West Flander, Belgium) crossed an assist from the right side to Attackman Hamed Al Hinai on the left of the goal box in the 61st.
Attackman Clarys would solo in the 66th, and Midfielder Leone Johnson would strike the final in the 72nd.
Keeper Rahmes Hall finished with two saves.
The Caissons attempted a total of seven corner kicks and 44 shots on goal.
The Caissons travel to North Cross Monday, and play Hargrave at home 4:30pm Thursday.
